Craft Hope for Haiti
Along with sending/texting a cash donation to help the people of Haiti, (which I am sure you all have done) you can also buy an item from the Craft Hope for Haiti Etsy shop, or donate one of your own handmade creations to them for sale. See here for info on how to donate. (Donations are being excepted thru Wednesday, Jan. 20th). All proceeds of the Craft Hope Etsy shop are going to Doctors Without Borders in Haiti, a truly wonderful humanitarian organization.
I donated the two pieces below. (Update: those items have sold.) Please go and check out all the great items for sale, (new listings are constantly being added, too!) So far close to 300 sales, (Update: Now over 1,000 sales and counting!) have been made in just a few days. My hat is off to the ladies who organized this!

Also, the wonderfully talented Jacquie of Tallgrass Prairie Studio, (which is where I found out about Craft Hope) is offering 3 of her fabulous quilts up for auction. All proceeds will go to the American Red Cross, and Jacquie will match the final bids with her own money. Now that is generous! Go here to bid on one of Jacquie's quilts!

People like you make the world a better place. Bravo.
This was an awesome idea, and DWB is a wonderful organization!
Oh I didn't know about this shop. I donated something to another Etsy shop who are also fundraising for the same cause. 'Hearts For Haiti' it's called. The more the better I say! Ok, I'm off to check out this one now. Woohoo! The Etsy community is such a nice one :)
Nice blog you got here. I'd like to read more concerning that theme. Thnx for posting that info.

Thanks for spreading the word, I'm off to donate-and perhaps shop as well!
I think I missed your items, drats! I was too slow.
Hats off to you, Victoria!

I am so inspired by your beautiful, fun hand stitching. I just bought a bunch of brightly colored fabrics in Mexico and now I know what I'm going to do with them. Your work is so lovely!
I see your items have already sold. I donated early on and it felt very good to know that my item was picked up so quickly and helped to contribute to the fund.
Isn't it wonderful to be able to help in a crafty way!
