What's up Doc?

Remnant #10

Hi everyone! Just popping in to touch base...

Things are still busy here. For starters, the scheduled wisdom teeth surgery that youngest daughter was scheduled for tomorrow has been put on hold due to a case of bronchitis and walking pneumonia. (Where the hell, in the middle of summer, that all came from... I have no idea.)

Remnant #11

The combination of the two have kicked her asthma back into high gear, (something we had mistakenly thought she had outgrown) ... as well as my worry, (I'm driving her nuts with my hovering). Now it's lots of ongoing meds and doctor visits to keep a check on how things are progressing. She's been a real trooper, and things are looking like they are starting to get better as yesterday she didn't need her rescue inhaler at all.

I have been keeping more then busy with other family/life details that I won't bore you with, (you are welcome!) Happily in the midst of everything I did manage to get three new Remnant pieces made, (shown through out this post, because eye candy is always good!) Stitching keeps me sane.

Remnant #12

I am also planning for an up coming trip that I think you all will find very exciting... but I don't want to give away any more information then that... at least for now. (However, I will say that it is making me both very excited and very, very nervous. Hmmm... what could it be?)

Again, I will be back when time opens up. Till then, I hope all your summer days are happy and healthy. xoxo

Gorgeous remnants! Such soothing bluish greens. Sickness should NOT be allowing during summer.

I hope your trip involves being invited to tape a quilt show or photo shoot for a book or magazine.

YOur color sense always amazes me. Love these. Hope your daughter recovers soon. We all had bronchitis this summer too, from a trade show, we all came home with it, so it is running around with all it's nastiness. Take good care. xox Corrine

So sorry to hear about your daughter -- you DO wonder where they pick up these horrible germs in the middle of summer. It's easy to say "Try not to worry," because you will always worry about her, even when she's 30. And hovering is what moms do -- she'll just have to get used to it.

Your new pieces are truly lovely, as always. What an eye for color you have!

Hi Vic! I am excited about your forthcoming exciting trip too! I will also be happy to hear any "boring" family/life details! Hope your daughter is coping well now. Both our kids have asthma so I understand the hovering & worrying too!
Happy summer! Happy sweating! Happy sewing!

Oh, these pieces are beautiful... We have missed your presence in blog land!

I hope your daughter is doing better. My son had the asthma thing going too and it is so worry some. He does seem to be past it at 20. But we will see.

Sending good thoughts!!!

Lovely work as usual. Especially the second one with earth and sea colours. Its hard to be creative with worries about childrens health. Glad she's a bit better now.

Oh your poor daughter! And poor you! I love your new pieces and I'm wanting to hear all about this trip that you have planned! You must share this exciting news immediately. Where are you going? What are you doing? Question questions...the suspense is killing me Vic!

The remnant pieces are lively and lovely. Hope you are all feeling better - I realize this is awhile back -- but pneumonia can take a while to recover from, I know. (and congrats on the QA spot!!)
