Polka Dot Delights

I first fell in love with polka dots when I was a little girl, sitting on my fathers lap, as he read to me Robert Lopshire's children's book Put Me in the Zoo.

I remember how the polka dots on that bear/dog like animal just popped off the page at me! I was completely captivated by those polka dots and all the magical things the critter could do with them. He could make them larger or smaller, change their color and float them in the sky... pure joy!

Well, my love affair with the delightful polka dot continues to this day. There simply is no other pattern on earth that comes as close to making me as happy as the polka dot does. Below are some great polka dot finds from Etsy.

This very sweet bud vase from Lazy Dog Pottery

These funky stoneware mugs and...

this oh so cute spice bowl and spoon.
Both from chARiTy elise

This gorgeous place setting and...

This lovely scalloped edge large serving bowl.
Both from jd wolfe pottery.

  2. A happy hello,
I don't know any more from which side of the virtual-universe I came to your site. But now I'm here and fact is that I'm addicted to stripes as much as you to dots.
    What a beautiful collection.
And, b.t.w.: I love your work!

  7. I SOOOO love that book too! I couldn't find my copy so my Grandmother bought my son a new one and we read it "OFTEN". It even came with a matching Polka-Dotted cat (if that's what he is?):)

  12. Oh those mugs are just divine!
My current favorite polka dots are on my daughter's bathingsuit. White dots on red with light blue trim. Makes me happy everytime I see her running around in it.
