I should go to the local market really but last time I was there they had asparagus which I almost bought then saw it was from Peru! And the ridiculous thing is, English asparagus is twice the price.Jackiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12998628507844056717noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5056845113261377115.post-89927903597128066832008-08-02T02:30:00.000-04:002008-08-02T02:30:00.000-04:00i want a bite of that plum! looks so good. :Di want a bite of that plum! looks so good. :Dbunzihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03390686920529841315noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5056845113261377115.post-17231514023973722672008-08-01T17:50:00.000-04:002008-08-01T17:50:00.000-04:00Andrea, yes it is humid here!I would venture to gu...Andrea, yes it is humid here!
I would venture to guess that you went to Central Market, which is in the heart of Lancaster City, and a real gem. It is the oldest continually operating farmers market in America. I used to live right down the road from it, and walked there all the time!

Sandra, I love black beans!!Victoriahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06913095438247860953noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5056845113261377115.post-36131466029028107642008-08-01T16:44:00.000-04:002008-08-01T16:44:00.000-04:00Victoria, we have locally grown fresh produce stan...Victoria, we have locally grown fresh produce stands on almost every intersection where I live. That's one of the good things about living in the south! And all your produce looks just as good as ours! What perked my interest was you mentioning black beans, that sounds yummy with the tomatoes, squash & onions!SandraReehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16305161476021509074noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5056845113261377115.post-22701973201381382682008-08-01T14:24:00.000-04:002008-08-01T14:24:00.000-04:00Mmm, what a beautiful bounty. We live in California and made it all the way back east. We stopped for a couple days in Lancaster. It was so humid! There was a haze of moister in the air. We went a market inside a building in Lancaster. There was all kinds of Vegetables, breads, and Cheeses. I can't remember the name of the market though. I guess it was like a farmers market.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5056845113261377115.post-87275351800986937192008-08-01T12:00:00.000-04:002008-08-01T12:00:00.000-04:00What a colourful post! What a colourful post!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5056845113261377115.post-31377230598213812122008-08-01T11:38:00.000-04:002008-08-01T11:38:00.000-04:00mmmm. that all looks great. love farmers markets. ...mmmm. that all looks great. love farmers markets. i miss being able to buy stuff on side of the road. that was the norm back home when i was growing up. huuuuge watermelons for $5! *five dollars!*Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04995683787366568554noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5056845113261377115.post-36013939714851866942008-08-01T10:47:00.000-04:002008-08-01T10:47:00.000-04:00All these look so amazing and good!
