Dog Days Of Summer

Seeing as we are now in the "Dog Days of August" I thought it would be fitting to do a post celebrating Dog inspired art, found on Etsy!

Mildred Takes a Moment photograph from Jill Heupel Photography

Hand Painted Dog Bull Terrier Handmade Art Decor Mug from Boo Dog Mugs.

Letterpressed 5 Whippet Notecards from Rigel Stuhmiller.

Dachshund Dog Art The Bone Thieves from Brian Rubenacker

And here's a shameless plug for my own work, (my apologies to all who have already seen it!) ...

Aww how lovely - to great summer and lazy days!

Oh that 'Mildred Takes a Moment' is a beautiful photo. I wish my dog was more like Mildred & could learn to slow down & appreciate her surroundings a little more. But no, she insists on powering ahead & dragging me along, barely able to keep up with her pace. These are all great finds but yours is by far the sweetest!

I really love 'Mildred Takes a Moment'- It's so atmospheric and of course your textile work is always wonderful!

I love the bull terrier mug.
I nearly called my blog 'Dog days and daisychains' but I didn't think it was a common term and people might not understand.( I also nearly called it Prick and pounce but thought I might get unwelcome visitors!)

Good call Jackie on not naming your blog Prick and Pounce!

Hi Vicki,
This is a very cute post. I actually just finished another dog portrait today, so it seemed very fitting.
See you soon!

I love your designs! I recently opened my own Etsy shop (www.IndigoRiverJewelry.etsy.com) and I just adore reading other crafter's blogs, especially when they are as good as yours :)
